TSHA Registered Inspector

The TSHA Registered Inspector programme is a National initiative where by TSHA Registered Inspectors are formally vetted and verified to ensure they possess the level of experience and expertise required to undertake periodic inspections of telescopic handlers as required by AS2550.19.

Australian Standard 2550.19 Cranes, hoists and winches – Safe use – Part 19: Telescopic Handlers indicates that a “competent person” is required when completing periodic (annual) inspections on telescopic handlers.

The definition in AS2550.19 of a competent person is:

“ A person who has acquired through training, qualification, experience or a combination of these, the knowledge and skill enabling that person to correctly perform the required task. “

The holder of a TSHA Registered Inspector card is an individual whose training and experience has been formally vetted and verified as a measure of their competency to perform periodic inspections on telescopic handlers as required by AS2550.19.

Currently the application process is being refined to better meet the needs of the industry. Whilst this process is completed, please refrain from submitting new applications.
